A few days ago we told you about the leaked release of beta version of JailbreakMe 3.0. As we expected, the leaked release forced Comex to release final version as soon as possible and its now live on JailbreakMe site. JailbreakMe 3.0 can jailbreak iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.3 only. Support for other firmwares is yet to be added by Comex.

People who don’t know much about JailbreakMe should know that its one of the easiest methods to jailbreak iOS devices based on PDF exploit in mobile safari and works simply by downloading a PDF File.

Its an untethered jailbreak which means that you don’t have to connect your device to computer every time you reboot it. Below we have mentioned simple steps to jailbreak iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.3 using JailbreakMe 3.0.

1. Start Mobile Safari on iPad 2.

2. Launch the JailbreakMe site from below URL

3. Tap on the “Free button” and then “Install” button.

4. Now you”ll notice Cydia  downloading on your iDevice.

5. Once downloaded, restart your device.

Your iPad 2 is now jailbroken. If you’re facing any difficulty while following above procedure, do tell us in comments.

my friend with an iPad1 running iOS 4.3.3 told me that he got a problem with using Jailbreakme3.0 that once it’s downloaded on the Springboard, the icon then disappeared. He then rebooted the iPad and tried again, and it happened the same.

The icon should appear after reboot. Go to settings > safari > clear cache & history and then try again.

i’ll ask my friend to try that. thanks!

my friend tried that but no luck, he said the icon disappeared when the bar was still installing. Thus, I guess that means Cydia was able to be downloaded but not installed on his iPad.
